Matt Wood’s review published on Letterboxd:
It’s a lot. I definitely am not ready to see it again. It’s a pretty draining experience, just in the way you go through a lot of emotions.
Update after 1 hour: I see people giving it 4 or 4 1/2 stars and I can’t wrap my brain around it. Roma maxes out all of my scales, so I’m not even sure how to score it. They have much higher standards than I do, I guess.
It feels impeccably made. The director has mastered the technicalities of film making and so there is nothing getting in between you and the story.
