  I can't abide the horrible writing (no security cameras in such important places? How did they get onto the fancy yacht party no questions asked?) but man what a rush. It's so gratifying to watch an action movie by a director who cares about things like style, setting, COSTUMES! Hell even the extras just felt alive in this. Not a slouch on the thematic strokes either. Liam is what Seagal should have become after 2002.

  Blackhat is indeed too beautiful for this world, which is why everyone rejected it. "Too cold", they said. "Not realistic" they said. I struggle to understand what went through the mainstream critics' mind during Hathaway and Lien's first sex scene, which came at a time they were waiting until dawn for an international flight. It was out of necessity that they found each other, and their physical chemistry couldn't have been more perfect. It was beautiful.
