in the midst of a mind-bending metaphysical multiverse that is at the center, at the heart of it all there is a layered drama about family values, intergenerational trauma, combined with quirky humor and heart warming moments. this movie is a benchmark for originality, it's like breaking the 4th walls on multiple universes into beautiful story. yeoh is wonderful, the writing is witty, the multiverse execution is amazing. from a technical perspective this movie really deserves recognition, the editing in itself is an achievement. the fighting scene reminds me a lot of the matrix. in the end, while at times it felt there was just too much going on and too many additions to the central story and too many unexplained backstories, this still remains clever on many levels.
