Letterboxd — Your life in film

Methinks this could be the dark horse in the Oscar race this year. I could easily see Moore and Portman getting nominated and I wouldn’t be surprised if Charles Melton actually wins for this. His final scene might be the most haunting thing I’ve seen all year.

This is the director’s feature debut? Holy shit? A very slick looking movie which gets a little soap opera-y and wattpad coded near the end for better and for worse. Phoebe Dynevor and Alden Ehrenreich are very good at shouting.

I bet Ari Aster puts the milk in the bowl first

This actually felt a little epic?? I love the structure of it despite it feeling a little tedious towards the end. Rachel Zegler was outstanding and Tom Blyth was a strong lead too. Viola Davis is good in everything I see her in.

Catching Fire is still probably the strongest but this is the second best out of the 5 imo.

This year’s Aftersun (but better) and it has actually many ‘under pressure’ scenes. Every song choice was perfect. Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s The Power of Love is one of my favourite songs oat so it was a joy seeing it used here so effectively. This is the best I’ve ever seen of Andrew Scott, Claire Foy and Jamie Bell.

This was surprisingly wholesome. Sandra Oh and Awkwafina have incredible chemistry

Watching this on Channel 4 was insane cuz there was a car ad every 15 mins

Final movie for this Halloween. This was amazing on first watch now it’s just pretty good to me. Kinda wished Ends never existed and the third act of that movie was just added onto the end of this movie…

A recent genuine good slasher? That doesn’t look cheap? That has likeable and badass final girls? And remembers that it’s a horror movie?? Which isn’t Scream???

So they’re Ti West-ing this thing? A prequel and a sequel? Yes please. We need more mean movies again.
