See you at the movies
Ridley Scott's "Napoleon" has been my most anticipated film of the year, blending my love for historical films and fascination with the enigmatic figure himself. However, my feelings about the film are decidedly mixed.
Scott's attempt to encapsulate Napoleon's life in 158 minutes proves ambitious but falls short, sacrificing historical depth for a relentless pace. Transformative events like the French Revolution and the Russian campaign are rushed, leaving key moments and battles, such as Marengo and Leipzig, ignored.
