What a lovely lovely touching movie. We're literally watching a boy going around all over a village to return his friend's notebook and it was somehow so gripping, like watching a mini mystery-thriller. To also witness this sort of village life in Iran during the 80s was so fascinating. That boy is such a top-notch friend too. You felt his anguish knowing that his poor friend could get expelled. Love how it's all from the boy's perspective, sometimes even literally, like when having the adults out of shot, ignoring and not listening to the poor kid. And the final shot of the small flower pressed into the pages, ugh makes me wanna cry. Beautiful story and beautiful visuals, what a treasure this movie is.
