I slightly preferred this movie to the first one, but honestly, I think own reason is because I like how this feels like a prequel to Despicable Me. Part of me also feels as if that detracts from the Minions title, and feel that it should have been just that, a Prequel. I wish Michelle Yeoh’s character was more of a prominent character because she’s lovely. Also, felt as if there were a lot of villains and none of them were fleshed out that much.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Baz Luhrmann has made yet another amazing visual and emotional movie. I thought from the beginning that the movie felt like a flash of memories and emotions that one would see before their death, and it was absolutely satisfying to see that be the case with how the movie ended. Austin Butler is so pretty and he did so well acting as Elvis.
Jesus Christ this was intense. I loved this movie and how well thought out it was. The grabbers mask show helped show so much emotion even though it only changed a few times throughout the runtime. The sister was iconic, and she was the best part. Too many thoughts to write down, but this is a must watch for 2022.
Yep, I watched the movie again for the 3rd time. Surprised? You shouldn’t be. I would say I’m officially obsessed. The more I see this movie, the more I appreciate the decisions that the team made and understand their reasons. This should be your sign to watch it again if you already have.
