The Batman 2022
Quite simply, I loved this movie. It’s batastic & it’s my first 5/5 film of 2022!
Is this another grounded and gritty Batman movie? Yes, but like 2008’s The Dark Knight, this movie is so much more than that. The Batman feels less like a typical superhero movie and more like a detective noir crime thriller that also happens to feature Batman. It has a murder mystery aspect to it that feels straight out of a David Fincher film like Se7en or Zodiac. And…

Spider-Man: No Way Home 2021
YOU KNOW… I’M SOMETHING OF A SPIDER-MAN FAN MYSELF.
Best Spider-Man movie of all time and I won’t be told differently. This movie was everything I wanted it to be and more and it already has a special place in my heart. It may be one of my new all time favorite movies period and I DON’T CARE IF MY BIAS IS SHOWING. Just let me have this.

Jonah Hill and Eddie Murphy have great chemistry together, though.

Babylon 2022
“Babylon” is a beautiful, deranged, and epic love letter to cinema. It’s excessive. It’s overwhelming. It’s messy. It has a very unhinged energy. It’s both a celebration and a tragedy. And I adored every single second of it. It brilliantly displays both the wonders and dark sides of 1920’s and 1930’s Los Angeles during its transitional period from silent films to talking films. This kind of movie is my jam, especially because it captures why I enjoy going to the…

Everything Everywhere All at Once 2022
“Everything Everywhere All At Once” is everything going to the movies should be about. I can confidently say this is one of the most original and unique pieces of cinema I’ve ever laid (googly) eyes on. It’s a masterpiece.
