Diego Crespo’s review published on Letterboxd:
"Those are not riots. Those are rebellions. People are rebelling because of conditions and not because of individuals. No individual creates a rebellion. It is created out of the conditions."
great fucking movie. probably withheld just by the mere fact that it is only a dramatization, not a beat-by-beat breakdown of the radical socialist roots in Fred Hampton's work with the Black Panthers. can't really recommend enough as a film.
please donate or share the link to saving the Hampton House in order to preserve, protect and rehabilitate the childhood home of Black Panther Party Chairman Fred Hampton. They are seeking landmark status for the home and plan to establish it as a museum, while also facilitating educational services, community gardens, and a meeting place for community development.
