“Was that the boogeyman?”

Anamorphic nightmares of shadow and folklore. A being of pure evil, or a failure of a system that cast him aside? Either way, a monster of man’s own creation. An unstoppable darkness pressing against youthful light. Never able to decipher Michael Myers as someone, forced into the role of some “thing” and striking against the world. He returned home to Haddonfield that night, but it was only a gateway to the world he longed for. His idea of a homecoming is much different than ours.

No biggie, just another one of John Carpenter’s masterpieces engraving itself upon our cinematic landscape.
