Broadcast News 1987
God what a perfect movie. Captures the misery of having feelings for a superficially likable person that your friends irrationally hate but knowing deep down that they’re probably right. Also fun how Albert Brooks is one of the most insane characters who’s ever been in a romantic comedy while still being the least insane Albert Brooks character.

Moonrise Kingdom 2012
Wasn’t really into this until one of the actors forced Hard Mike to watch the scene from Son of the Mask where jamie kennedy as the titular mask, sings frankie valli in every musical genre known to 2005. Now I think it’s a masterpiece.
