Dead Moon Night’s review published on Letterboxd:
I really like I Saw the Devil and it's been on my mind from time to time since I saw it for the first time. It's just as good the second time around. Kim Jee-woon's dark and grim tale is outstanding. It might just sound like another serial killer / revenge flick and in many ways it is but everything about I Saw the Devil is so much more. Min-sik Choi is evil personified and the thin line between what's right and what is wrong doesn't exist, everything is wrong. It's an extremely good looking movie with georgeous cinematography and a great score. I Saw the Devil goes from heartbreaking to straight up brutal trap them and kill them and while you're at it - make them suffer and then back again. The violence really hurts, emotional and physical. I need to revisit A Tale of Two Sisters asap!
