There's plenty of fast-paced, well-staged action here, but also a little too much racism, animal abuse, and general darkness in the film. Above all else, Kate Capshaw's Willie is completely insufferable. With this weirdness out of Spielberg and Lucas' systems, I have higher hopes for The Last Crusade.
