Andy Summers’s review published on Letterboxd:
I've always been a huge fan of Ridley Scott but not necessarily Blade Runner. Futuristic in it's time the years have not been kind to this sci-fi behemoth. Cloaked in shadow and rain this dystopian future seemed so far removed from anything the movies had given us before.
Is Deckard a replicant? Who cares. A cult-like mythology has followed each new release of this film with more questions than answers. One thing I will say is that it remains visually one of the most stunning pictures of the last 30 years or so. The score is also haunting and adds a shimmer to the rain, neon tinged city of "Angels". As vibrant now as when I first saw it on a grainy beta-max tape all those years ago, I may have fallen out of love with this but it will remain a friend forever.
