Dans un registre qui m’est très chère Carpenter va parsemer sa patte de prodige un peu partout dans ce cadre mi spirituel mi religieux.
On descend très lentement mais sûrement dans un néant abyssal avec ces personnages tous aussi têtu, arriéré trop souvent.
Gestion et spatialisation de l’église maîtrisée malgré un rythme Carpentien, qui m’aura quelque peu laissé amorphe pendant un climax peut être trop long.
Une utilisation de la caméra jouissive comme à son habitude, des mouvements très intéressant notamment l’axe panoramique que je trouve particulièrement brillant.
Un sacré bon moment avec une fin tellement lancinante..
