• The Princess Bride

    The Princess Bride

Other than the character of Inigo and his epic character arc, this was absolute trash. I have never disagreed so hard with the general consensus of a movie.

If my grandad read 'The Princess Bride' to me I would tell him he was a boomer and I that I hate him.

  • Casino

The first half of this movie felt like a long, stylish montage of the process and politics surrounding the characters and the casino, which was quite fun. But what really shines is the second half, when it turns into a deep and rather depressing love story and focuses on the relationship between Ace and Ginger. It was soo frustrating and hard to watch what unfolded, but in a good way!

    A Perfect movie 🙌

  • Carlito's Way

    Carlito's Way

    (4k UHD)

One of De Palma's finest films! Carlitos Way is a slow burning crime drama that follows the simple yet powerful story of Carlito Brigante, played masterfully by Al Pacino, who narrates his own tale of loyalty, deceit and love. It was gripping from start to finish, with the explosive final act in particular being the best part of the film. Everything about it just worked so so well, and looked fantastic in glorious 4k!

  • The Addams Family

    The Addams Family

This was awesome. Thought it was hilarious and uncle Festers facial expressions were gold!

  • Barking Dogs Never Bite

    Barking Dogs Never Bite

Not a Bong hit for me. Didn't find it darkly comedic nor light hearted. Just mostly fucked up, and I disliked most characters.

  • Irreversible

INDICATOR 2k Restoration / The 2020 Straight Cut

Seeing Irreversible in the correct chronological order was great! It delivers a straightforward narrative with no confusion or mystery about what is happening, or who is on screen. Therefore, the experience is less stressful and disorientating, but still as impactful as the original cut. The build up to 'that' scene is just as horrifying, but it is so interesting to see how it all plays out in chronological order. A fresh take on a controversial classic!

  • Near Dark

    Near Dark

Bill Paxton and Lance Henriksen's performances were the only great things about this movie.

Everything else is just dull, and awkward...

  • Prisoners

Quite possibly the most tense thriller I have seen. An edge of your seat experience from start to finish. On rewatching this masterpiece I realised just how gorgeous this film is! Thank you Roger Deakins 🙏

  • Wild Tales

    Wild Tales

After every tale me and my girlfriend looked at eachother and said "that was so wiillddd!?".

I can confirm: the tales are WILD.

  • No Time to Die

    No Time to Die

A rather boring but emotional-ish ending to the Daniel Craig saga. I wouldn't say I would watch this again, which sounds bad but in all honesty it was an ok film. The Russian scientist was pretty much the worst character I've ever seen in a bond movie.

  • Spectre

Dreadful. It has not made me excited to see No Time to Die, that's for sure!
