Nobody sleeps in the woods tonight is directed by Bartosz M. Kowalski, and stars an un familiar cast of Wiktoria Gasiewska, Zosia Woslka, Deux Juneaux and many more.
The movie was released in 2020 on Netflix, and the polish horror movie is all about a group of teenagers who are deprived on any technology during a retreat into the woods. However they are soon faced with a deadly danger and must escape for their lives.
This movie has a pretty generic premise which has been seen before, the teenagers are all really annoying and similar in every slasher movie, they have no personalities and you are kind of routing for something bad too happen to them. The danger in the movie is different which I did find interesting and come as a bit of a pleasant suprise, and there was some good back story for the villain which made for a more compelling villain. The characters all do a lot of stupid things and make the worst decisions which is expected in this kind of film. The ending came with a twist despite being stupid and sets up a potential franchise to come from this movie.
Overall I’d rate this movie a 2 and a 1/2 ⭐️ some of the kills are entertaining and there is some good plot points and back stories to the villain however it is similar to a lot of other slasher movies and the teens are really annoying.
