This is an experiment where we vote for the best films of 2021 using almost the EXACT SAME RULES as the Oscars do. This is similar to the version I ran in 2020 and 2021.

Instructions to vote:

1) You select your branches. Different branches vote in different categories. Real Academy members belong to 1 branch, but we will choose 3 each. Our branches do not totally align with the Academy, and some have been grouped together based on feedback and data from last year.

2) In Best Picture, you vote for up to 10 films. In every other category you vote for up to 5 films. You rank your choices in each category.

3) In most categories you can only vote for Oscar Eligible Films. I have included *all* of these in the list. If it's not here, you can't vote for it. Some categories have exceptions, which are listed in the voting form.

4) Please like this list. This experiment only works if there's a lot of votes, which means this list needs exposure.

A few days after Academy Award Nominations, I hope to reveal the nominees of the Letterboxd Oscars too. The votes will be counted using the Academy counting method.
