Aish’s review published on Letterboxd:
The power of the twink, indeed.
This is a slow burn western drama that goes hand in hand with the undeniably bizarre and nightmarish atmosphere. Jane Campion's adapted screenplay from the 1967 novel is a brilliant piece of work with some nuanced and unconventional storytelling.
The acting is good at best, nothing groundbreaking like the critics claimed.
The score by Jonny Greenwood is unsettling and creative. He did such remarkable work with both Spencer and The power of the dog.
Jane Campion deserves all the accolades she is getting right now. I won't be surprised if she bags the upcoming oscar for best direction.
