Movies write history too.  It’s not just the adage, “in the history books” that applies during this era.  

Director King balances watchability with disturbing events, keeping it tight enough while not shying away.  The history does not speak for itself and needs artists to retell it.  This is a true story of the US governments’ reaction when it felt white supremacy was threatened.   And it’s some shit with which to reckon.  

Stanfield and Kaluuya are young standouts and I look forward to their future performances.  Supporting cast is also noteworthy, you dig?
