Daniel Cruse’s review published on Letterboxd:
Brilliant examination of the accumulation of wealth and how it corrupts the hearts of those who allow it to. It’s a politically savy, cleverly penned murder mystery that I simply cannot get enough of. Wonderful cast. Excited to see the sequel.
Similarly to Get Out, I see a lot of neo-liberal people online hailing this movie for sticking it to the MAGA crowd, when in actuality most of the Thromby family openly present themselves as “progressive.” The film lampoons the way in which neo-liberal trust-fund kids think of themselves as morally superior when the bottom line is really the same for both groups, acquire as much wealth as possible at the expense and exploitation of others.
