"Stay here with me, we'll start a jazz band"
This film has had more than its fair share of controversy, none of which has ever really been confirmed to be true, and it has absolutely bogged down the film's actual release.
But what of the film itself? Is it possible to judge it and ignore all the potential on and off set nonsense?
Yes. Of course. That's the only way any film should really be evaluated.
So, how is it then?
Pretty darn good.
There's a few negatives, it's…
Possibly the greatest compliment I can give this film, is that it would have made a great comic book.
It is perhaps a touch too long, it's a lot of film, but that doesn't matter too much when it is this engaging, this well made, this well acted.
And by god the score is amazing.
Is this my favourite Batman film?
Not yet. Time will tell on that. But I'm pretty sure it is the best Batman film we've ever had.
