Letterboxd — Your life in film

Really liked this doc, but someone other than a family member should’ve made this. The mother-daughter bickering scenes might have been included to seem quaint, but it came off as distracting. Then again, I wonder who would’ve had the drive to make this and interview so many people if not their daughter. 

Regardless, it’s a bummer to think of all the many great local spots for marginalized communities or weirdo subcultures that have been lost to time due to the internet. Nothing replaces that human element of knowing other people in this place get you.
