Phil Lynott: Songs for While I'm Away 2020
One of the best music docs Iβve watched in a while, made for a great Irishman. Heartfelt, powerful, concise yet poignant interview segments, lovingly lush visuals, great sound mixing that lets Phil Lynottβs voice truly shine. I really hope the team that worked on this considers doing a Pogues documentary.

What the fuck was this? So much screen time on poorly developed, hollow characters (the Italian woman? Leslie Odom Jrβs character? The fuck are these people?); continuity errors with the original show; etc. The only saving graces were Michael Gandolfini and Vera Farmiga, especially that scene together in the kitchen. I honestly wish they wouldβve made a movie exploring *that* dynamic because Livia and her repeated failures as a mother made Tony Soprano the person he was, not whatever theβ¦
