cute, but not so effective in its execution. scenes with some of the cleanest cinematography are executed haphazardly like they just want to do one take and move on; painstakingly dry enough you can tell the actors aren’t invested. a courtroom drama that gets in the way of everything because of its clichés and doesn’t even bother to integrate itself timely into the story. getting strong hoot (2006) vibes with this one, although i probably wouldn’t have had it not been lazy with the storyboarding and directing. it’s unfortunate that the production is actually pretty nice.
