Tom Sheffield’s review published on Letterboxd:
On second viewing, I feel I might have been harsh in my previous stringing together of words. I'm going to put it down to my tiredness when I attended the midnight showing (it'd been a loooong day!) .
I laughed a lot more this time round, despite knowing what was coming and what to expect. Whilst some of the jokes definitely wouldn't be missed if you took them out, the majority represented the kind of humour I expected from this sequel.
The title sequence still had me laughing, and I'm still so happy Gunn managed to deliver another memorable sequence. I also caught a few extra details in some scenes this second time round, which anyone could have missed on first viewing. I'm very excited to see what the ending means for the future of not just the Guardians, but for the MCU as a whole.
Yes I sat through all the credits again and you're damn right Yondu is still my favourite, hands down.
