this isn't terrible by any means, has a lot going for it (jewel innocent!) but i'm sorry you can't make a serious, violent drama about the futility of war, then turn around and have it star tobey maguire and expect me to take it seriously

This movie is beautiful, captivating, fascinating, moving, powerful and an absolute masterpiece.

And I will never watch it again.
