My 8th and final film of the day.

Geez, people make things too complicated. You know I’m sure for 100,000 years before Alex Garland and for 100,000 years after people have and will be questioning why humans are what they are and why they’re so hateful towards one another. The male and female roles have always been more or less the same, yet women still wonder why they’re so desirable and men still wonder why they have such an infatuation…

There’s a scene with a guy joyriding a tractor covered in human feces with a dead dog impaled to one of the tines. ‘Nuff said.

I dislike this film more than I did a couple years ago when I watched it. It’s still decent but I was questioning things way more this time around.

I think the beginning is great but the movie gets so ridiculous and fast-paced I can’t keep up. It’s just loads of wacky and wild which isn’t a bad thing I guess but it doesn’t work well for me.

    Turning Red

I, along with many others, have praised Pixar for their ability to make children's movies that don’t feel strictly like children's movies. Adults can usually always take something away from them.
However, as the years drag on, they’ve gotten lazy. They’ve traded good and meaningful stories for loud, abrasive, and much weaker plotted movies.

Turning Red is the worst offender. This is a heaping pile of crap. I at first thought the Red Panda was an analogy for a period.…

Man I really hate that I didn’t like this more but frankly I’m a bit disappointed.
My main disappointment comes from the use of goofy live action in a bad ass stop motion film. It just wasn’t needed and looked bad compared to the animation.

I also wish the plot had been a little more obvious; I think it had something to do with the creation of the earth and humankind or some shit but I dunno.

    The first third…
