A big improvement over Raiders. Raiders IMO is a bit boring at points that barely has an adventure and is only fun or exciting at a few points, but manages to have some good elements keeping it above a 5-6/10.
Temple of Doom on the other hand is fun the whole way through. This film actually had an adventure and interesting locations that keep me invested in the story. I was invested in all the characters this time, the soundtrack slaps, the comedic timing is great, and there were actual stakes. It does have its flaws, but I really like it. Are we just not gonna mention the fact that the kid was tempted to commit manslaughter?
Also extra points for having a fun mine-cart chase, I’m a sucker for those.
