Steven Casey’s review published on Letterboxd:
All the lessons he learned on his way to succeeding his father- his cool head under crisis, removing personal feelings and emotional responses in doing business, separating the family from the family business- have left Michael Corleone an empty shell of a man. Where power and authority seemed to fall into his father's lap on his course of being a good neighbor and decent fellow, Michael's path towards business hegemony turns him into a cold-hearted tyrant. Could he not help it? Could he not for once reach into his heart and grant forgiveness? Is that fatal flaw in his soul consuming his thoughts in that final haunting scene? And not one Italian musician at his son's confirmation? Infamia!
