Chris Marsh’s review published on Letterboxd:
“This is either madness... or brilliance.
It's remarkable how often those two traits coincide.”
This movie still fucking rules. One of the best blockbusters of the past 20 years and one of the most important Disney movies imo. They took a bold chance on this one and it turned out for the best.
The action scenes are incredible, the story is ace, and it’s just so fun. The visuals in this movie are still spectacular as well 17 years later.
Johnny Depp truly gave us an iconic performance/character as Jack Sparrow.
Also one of my favorite scores of all time
