These are some of my favorite films from across the history of cinema that are either somewhat lesser-known or deserve to be much better known. And because of communities like Letterboxd it’s now much easier to spread awareness and share our personal taste.

Alex's documentary, Showbiz Kids, is available now on HBO. Zappa is coming to theaters and VOD Thanksgiving 2020. Bill & Ted Face the Music is out August 26 in the US and the global release follows shortly thereafter.
