"I've got a fox on a motorcycle with a littler fox and, uh, what looks like to be an opossum in the sidecar riding north on Farm Lane 7...does that sound like anything to anybody?”
One of my favorites from the mind of Wes Anderson and easily the greatest stop-motion adventure I've ever been on, 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' is a terrific adaptation and about as perfect as a film of its caliber can get. The detailed construction of the characters of the world, the splendid voice acting, the hilariously dry script, the sense of longing and adventure and sweeping romance - this film has a lot going for it in such a short runtime and is delightful in every sense of the word. It's quite poetic in some way, riotous in others, and doesn't get more enjoyable than this. I love it so much.
