    I’ll admit when I saw the poster I went ⚠️⚠️⚠️ I don’t listen to much Taylor so I had no context to the song so it was so jarring to see pretty much a child with a fully grown man. But the film was beautiful, Taylor is definitely speaking from experience. It shows the manipulation and literal gaslighting (not using that term loosely) that often occurs in those big age gap relationships. I’m so glad Taylor directed this. Just reading…

    This film is absolutely fantastic. Creatively, technically, performance wise. I don’t want this to be an essay so I’ll just quickly touch on some of my favourite parts of this film.

    2000s sports movies might’ve been an overdone fad, but Stick It is so nuanced and unique. The dialogue is refreshing and witty, there’s this dry humour to it that I love, and you get the sense that the actors are really invested in the lines.

    I get that the obscene amount of violence against women is there for thhe purpose of showing how violent the male characters are, however there’s a way to do that tastefully. In oldboy it just comes off as torture porn.
