Although I didn’t quite enjoy it as much as I did on my last watch, Fantastic Mr Fox still remains a well done and very aesthetically pleasing adaptation of a classic book.
Since this is a film by Wes Anderson, you can expect every frame of the film to be exquisitely lit and coloured and his style is as fresh as ever in this wonderfully animated film. The voice acting is really good too and the whole cast deliver their sharp and witty dialogue excellently.
With a runtime of only 88 minutes, this film never messes around or wastes time telling it’s story and as a result, the entire film feels very compact. While I don’t find that it has the emotion that my favourite animated films have, I still believe it’s worth watching for the extraordinary animation and the fun ride that this film takes you on.
