    Had to watch this while visiting family for the holidays because my mom is a huge fan of Jo Koy. This is obviously Universal doing a lower budget gamble on Koy, with its combination of cliched sentimentality, cultural specificity (in this case Filipino), and broad comedy reminiscent of My Big Fat Greek Wedding and a slew of other comedies in a similar vein.

    The only funny thing about this was 30-year-old Brandon Wardell playing a high school senior.
