Call me a Disney shill but I fucking adore this movie. It's such an enchanting throwback to the true classics of the Disney renaissance. Brimming with a vibrant palate and refreshing direction that steers away from dated Disney-isms. There is no stupid twist villain, but rather a very welcome subversion, no sappy romance and an actually well developed Disney "princess". I didn't even know they made em' like this anymore! The music numbers are a blast to watch and feature so many subtle references and foreshadowing that made a rewatch all the more exciting. A potion of pure joy, this one.
They cast Alan Tudyk as a god damn toucan, can you even ask for more?
