I have like…..no real thoughts about this film. It wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever seen, yet I really could not get invested? I found out that I earned a free movie ticket on my rewards card right before and spent a lot of the beginning spacing out and thinking about what to use it for. I knew Daisy Edgar-Jones from Under the Banner of Heaven (which she was great in) and she was honestly probably the best part of this. I only really came to see this because my mom was super excited to see it since she loved the book and I simply love going to the movies. I haven’t read the book but apparently the author did some crazy sh*t?? Idk, but solely talking about the movie this was *fine*, I’m not really the target demographic. The scenery was really nice, I guess!!
I was trying not to laugh when Ted Wheeler showed up as a doctor for 35 seconds in the beginning….I have been conditioned by Stranger Things to laugh my ass off when I see that man.
