Film #6: Kiki's Delivery Service (1989)
Perhaps the most childish of Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli films, and the one that deserves to be labelled an animated film for children the most. Perhaps the quintessential animation film suited for kids. A heartwarmingly innocent and beautiful story with great morals and a wonderful message at its heart.
The animation style is also really beautiful, even more gorgeous than in most of Miyazaki's other films. Sometimes a small little story like this one is all you need. Kiki's Delivery Service is perfectly suited for that mood when you don't want to watch something you have to think about too hard, but that's still a wonderful film absolutely worth watching.
