FILM FEST TUCSON 2019
The amount of tension and tenderness this film achieves is honestly breathtaking. From the beginning, there is this sense of mystery and coldness, but it never feels disengaged. Like I said there is this very obvious tension between the leads from the very moment they meet that is so thoroughly engrossing, as is the beautiful cinematography and locations. Its intimate and ethereal, with some of the most unforgettable moments of the year, especially the emotional timebomb that is the final shot. Once that initial tension fades away, it becomes awash in that very intimacy and romance. It's bittersweet, beautiful, and transcendental. No pun intended it is an absolute fire starter.
