Made the man sitting next to me who was burping and talking to himself seem pretty normal.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent 2022

    ★★½ Watched by Cortney 02 May 2022

It's a 2.5 star movie but for the record, Nicolas Cage, star of the masterpiece Mandy, is always 5 stars in my heart.

I never would have guessed that by the end of this I'd be crying watching John Byers defend the WM3 after having to enter Alford pleas.

I know I'm not even close to living the top Cortney timeline but at least I don't have hot dog fingers.

  • Donnie Darko

    Donnie Darko 2001

    ★★★★½ Rewatched by Cortney 01 Apr 2022

It’s 2004. I’m in 8th grade. Suddenly I’m an Echo & the Bunnymen fan. I’m spending way too much time on the family computer reading about time travel and "Cellar Door". “Suck a fuck” is now part of my vernacular.

Watching this really takes me back. For me, this was one of those movies you see as a 13-year-old that takes you a step closer to actually knowing yourself and the stuff you’re truly into. I hardly remember any insight I gained from all that internet research back then but, even still, the spell this movie has over me hasn't faded one bit all these years later.

  • Requiem for a Dream

    Requiem for a Dream 2000

    ★★★★ Watched by Cortney 01 Apr 2022

There's a fridge in this movie that is genuinely scarier than most horror movie villains.
