Cormac 👑’s review published on Letterboxd:
Let Them Be Heard. Listen to the voices of the vilified and voiceless.
Genuinely terrifying how much of their message has been skewered and villianized to the point where just hearing them (both the leaders + their communities) speak for themselves feels like a revolution in and of itself.
Its like going back to a book you read when you were young. One that’s had a page missing this whole time. But now the page has become unstuck and the whole story can be told, finally. And so you learn that those who you had been told were the ‘bad guys’ all this time couldn’t be farther from the truth. Closer to the opposite, in fact. Except this isn’t a book. It’s real life.
The story of the Black Panthers is not over.
Screen this in all the schools.
