See this is why I have a hard time shitting on Ridley Scott when everyone else does. When he misses he makes boring shit like Alien Covenant , Legend and Hannibal ,but when he hits he makes classics. God damn this movie is awesome , emotionally intense and thought provoking , raw and powerful. I went into it expecting an 80s sci-fi action flick that would just be great fun ,but this is more of a futuristic tragedy ,a monster movie about something humanity created that suffers through its own existance and wants to be free. It looks and sounds spectacular and it's acted perfectly. It also doesn't really have a clear villain or hero everyone is fighting for what to them seems like their own survival and that presents many moral impilcations that are explored in every possible way.
