It’s fun and goes some nice places. Doesn’t age amazingly but still fun

    Last Night in Soho

    ★★

This movie is not enjoyable. Halfway through the movie I stopped caring about any of the characters. Lacked Edgar Wright style that I have come to enjoy.

Just felt like a generic mystery title complete with a bad twist ending.

Why was this marketed as a horror movie?

Wonderful characters, different perspectives, and an engaging narrative.

Knew basically nothing going in and thoroughly enjoyed. Seeing the differences in characters perspectives across the movie was a delight to watch. Typically I’m not a fan of the unreliable narrator, but the combination of multiple unreliable narrators is fun and makes you think.

Even the supporting cast shines here, with complex and nuanced characters and performances the actors really put themselves into.

Will probably watch again at some point!

Falters a bit near the end and goes off the rails, but the mystery and intrigue in the first half was more than enough to keep me engaged the whole time and become invested in the characters. Everything pre VIP arrival was fantastic.

This movie is trash because of the ending even with the meta commentary of King sucking at endings.

So over the top and bombastic. Loses its charm.

Still love this movie. So fun, interesting, and not over the top with everything. Got me interested in reading the 1000 page book.

Obviously has its flaws but a really strong King adaptation that strays from some of the more outlandish source material.

Beverly being damsel in distress sucks tho, and mike isn’t even a character.

Realizing how much I hate my job while watching this movie>>

Jokes hit, still funny and was thoroughly entertained the whole time while managing to make me think more critically as well. Loved the performances all around and was surprised I didn’t recognize any of the cast aside from Jennifer Aniston and Steven Root.

Must watch. One of those movies where 15 minutes in I loved the movie and knew I still had another hour or so to go.

I was really on board for this movie until I realized Awkwafina was in it. I’m not saying she’s bad (a lot of her jokes actually work here), I just didn’t realize the tone of this movie was so lighthearted. I think it hurts the movie in classic Marvel way of diminishing an important moment with a shitty joke.

I really appreciate the representation here. I wish marvel had the balls to just commit to a foreign language instead of…

    Pure dumb fun.

A solid entry into the video game movie genre. A decent cast, some fun moments, and a B plot that was actually somewhat interesting to watch.

I’ll probably never watch it again, but it was fun for a couple of hours and I was engaged.
