WHAT A BEAUTIFUL FILM! Just had to caps it to show my true enthusiasm.
A really well written film with an image to please even the pickiest of brains. Blanchett and Mara had amazing chemistry on the screen. The sexual tension immediately showed itself and sold me.
I really enjoyed the age aspect of their break-up. Blanchett tells her younger lover that she has no identity yet. That she is searching for too many answers from her and she needs to figure it out, without her. And I think that a lot of relationships have this dilemma and it is hard to call out. Your identity can easily be covered up by your partner and will fester and ultimately hurt the relationship.
