Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom ★★★★

Much darker than the first outing, "Doom" stands on its own as a great film. How different the it is from the original is commendable, but some additions to the film are less enjoyable than others (Willie Scott and the racist depiction of Indians being on the not-very-enjoyable side). The visual direction of the film is, again, fantastic, and the opening and closing sequences (and the heart) and stand out. Also, Short Round is very like able.
