Nothing short of an achievement. Matt Reeves continues to outdo himself with every picture. How it could possibly get better than this is beyond me.
This is what movies were made for. This is a shining example of what blockbusters SHOULD be. The gold-standard. Rarely does anything in The Batman feel like it was produced in a factory. Quickly, Reeves establishes his trust in the audience.
Incredible emphasis on reaction. What matters is not what causes the action but how the characters react. There's a scene where Bruce is quickly driving to save somebody and it's one of the most-powerful moments in the film. It pleases me that the entire last act felt like this small moment. Horrifying, apocalyptic stuff. It was wonderful.
I wanted to see it again as soon as it finished.
