Not quite as good as "Husbands" or "A Woman Under the Influence", probably because the pacing is a bit worse.
The final performance of their play seems like it absolutely should not work, but for some reason I couldn't help but think that whole thing was pretty much peak cinema. If someone hated that sequence, I wouldn't even be able to explain why they are wrong. That kind of bothers me.
It might work in the general sense that this is his most spontaneous film of the 4 that I have seen now.
Takes a cool concept for a short film and stretches it into something feature length. In doing so it gives it a tone of pseudo intellectual smugness that I cannot stand.
