This is exactly why Nic Cage is a great actor. He is always turning out interesting and unexpected roles and just doing what he does best. As "quiet" as this movie is in contrast to many others he has done, Rob's words mean something and his looks just cut through you like a knife.
My fave fact is that there was indeed a pig understudy to the main hog. Cage's screen time with the pig was so touching (and who doesn't love a cute animal onscreen?) and I really wish that more of the pig and Rob's connection was weaved in throughout the film.
Of all of the "cheffy" films out there, this is really one of the best, if not the best.
