Alison Brie continues to grow as an artist and performer but now is beginning to reach out even further to storytelling. Horse Girl is her first attempt at a feature screenplay and she really has nailed it and created something truly weird and memorable. Really glad I decided to catch up with this one. Brie's performance is one of the best of the year so far. The vibe and atmosphere is really unique and unsettling, the cinematography and lighting go even further to peel back the layers of Sarah's increasingly degenerating mental state. Seek this one out if it's passed you by.
